At NOVURANIA every boat is built with ease of maintenance in mind and only the finest components make it into a NOVURANIA . When building a NOVURANIA no expense is ever spared.
Performance and ride quality is borne out of NOVURANIA deep V hulls and designs coupled to wide stabilizing collars that create lift and inhibit the rolling action normally associated with deep V hulls. Our distinctive bow flare further deflects spray and widens deck space while our low profile increases stability and maneuverability.
When NOVURANIA engineers began work on creating its exclusive 5 ply Hypalon fabric over fifty years ago, the goal was clear… Create a rubber coated fabric that surpasses in quality, offers durability and color integrity and ensures reliability.
The fabric’s unique strength resides in a heavy and tightly woven TREVIRA polyester core which is stronger and less elastic then nylon fabrics.
This fabric core is coated with several layers of pure NEOPRENE and several layers of pure HYPALON on both the outside and inside. Although this process is more expensive due to the number of times the fabric needs to be calendered, by applying the two components pure, the benefits of each are optimized. Pure NEOPRENE guarantees unsurpasses airtightness, pure HYPALON assures that the resistance to UV light, abrasions, aging, chemicals, rotting and hardening are maximized. Today Novurania is one of the largest rubber coaters in the world offering our fine selection of fabrics to numerous industries.
New construction materials and technological advances play a vital role in NOVURANIA’s manufacturing process. Vacuum bagging plays a large role in many of our lines as this process significantly increases the structural integrity of our hulls while still adhering to strict weight restrictions that our Captains and Owners and Yards demand. Our ACS systems (Automated Compression System) has been a huge success with vessels requiring the largest tender in the most confined quarters, our Protex collar with its revolutionary light weight closed cell foam adds added protective features where an air tube is not necessary.
